Green Smoothie - for those who are under the weather

Serves 1-2 (Pint size glass)

Blender: High power blender such as Vitamix



Ingredients:



1/2 cup Cold 100% Pineapple juice

A handful of Green grapes

1 Grapefruit – peel and cut into quarter size (or halve it if you are using Vitamix)

1 small cucumber

2 Handfuls of baby spinach

1 Frozen banana



How to:



Put the ingredients in the order it’s written into the jug of the blender (I use Vitamix Pro 300), and begin at variable 1 and press start button, blend for 2 seconds and move to variable 5 for few seconds until you see that the blender started to blend the spinach, then quickly turn the dial to variable 10. Blend for 30 seconds, then turn the dial down slowly to variable 1 and press stop. Check the consistency of the smoothie, if you’d like it thinner, add more pineapple juice/ water/ ice cubes.



Tips:

If you have any left over, you can put it in a glass and cover it with cling wrap or foil then refrigerate it for the next day. Take it out the fridge an hour before you would like to drink it, though, so it won’t be too cold for your runny nose
